Gold shoots up in price yet again

Gold Investors look like they are going all in for the long haul in this exciting bull market as gold hit a record high yesterday.

There are rumours of Ben Bernanke chairman of the Federal Reserve in America that he may launch QE3 - "Quantitative easing stage three". While more paper money is printed, the price of gold and silver will almost certainly continue to rise and with no hope of the housing market improving quickly, investors are less hesitant to invest in precious metals such as gold and silver.

Saving gold and silver is definitely with out question better than saving in cash and if we go from recession to depression leading to hyper inflation cash savings will be worth very little in comparison to that of a gold or silver savings account.

While all the main focus is currently on gold right now silver remains cheap in relation to the gold/silver ratio over previous years. This is not only a time to consider saving gold but also a time to consider saving silver too.

Trading Gold and Silver may be a wise move but saving gold and silver in a physical form is the ultimate security and the wisest way to protect wealth.

The UK's first Gold ATM arrives in London

July 1st 2011 was the day when the UK received it's first ever Gold ATM allowing consumers easy access to purchase gold from a vending machine.

The Gold bar vending machine was installed at the Westfield shopping centre in West London. The BBC reported this is following the trend already in place in Germany and Dubai.

The Gold ATM Machine adjusts the purchase price every 10 minutes according to the variable fluctuation of the trading price of gold at any given time.

The machine was installed by a company called gold to go and the gold bars are sold at a premium it is not clear as to how much of a mark up the company take for providing this service, CEO Thomas Geissler believes it is a good investment for members of the public. It was also suggested that if you were running late to purchase a gift or order flowers for a special occasion or a party then it would make gift buying simple.

There were some interesting comments from some shoppers who were asked if they liked the idea and if they would use it and the common answer from the Women were that they would prefer to buy gold in the form of some kind of jewellery and did not think they would use it, Some people said it would not be the type of thing they would use on a daily basis, while one gentleman made a purchase and really liked the idea.

This is not the world's first gold atm there are other gold vending machines in other countries such as Dubai and the USA. This would suggest that average working class people are now becoming more aware of the importance of gold ownership and the gold atm's are providing an easy method of purchasing the precious metal. Leading experts are suggesting gold should be saved as a way of financial security protecting wealth over time.
